The Angels' season started with an unfortunate injury to their hitting coach
No one wants to get injured anytime, but especially not on Opening Day.
That's what happened for Angels hitting coach Don Baylor, who suffered a broken femur after a gruesome and unfortunate accident during the ceremonial first pitch.
Baylor was catching for recently retired Angels star Vladimir Guerrero, when his leg gave out while he tried to stab at a pitch that was a bit low and outside.
Guerrero tried to help Baylor to his feet, but it became quickly apparent that he wasn't going to be able to put any weight on that leg.
Baylor was taken to the hospital, where it was discovered that he had broken his femur.
Best wishes to Baylor, and here's hoping that he can make a speedy recovery.
