Anthony Davis busted out of the gates this year by being one of the top three fantasy basketball players in the NBA. Davis was close to averaging 20ppg, 10rpg, and nearly 4 blocks a game. But on Sunday evening against the New York Knicks, Davis fractured his left hand in the first quarter and immediately left the game.
Initial reports suggest that it is a non-displaced fracture, which does not take as long to recuperate from. Additionally, since the injury was to his non-shooting hand, it is possible that Davis might be able to play with a cast on, which other players have done in the past.
In the meantime, the up and coming Pelicans will slide Ryan Anderson into the starting power forward spot, until Davis returns.
