Anthony Davis, the University of Kentucky star who's all-but sure to go No. 1 in the draft, has filed trademarks on several phrases relating to his distinctive physical feature -- his thick unibrow with which America fell in love during this year's NCAA Men's Basketball Championship.

Davis has not actually trademarked the wearing of a physical unibrow -- so you can still try to grow one in time for the 2012-13 NBA season, New Orleans Hornets fans.

Davis has, however, trademarked several phrases that became popular during Kentucky's run to the NCAA Championship. Darren Rovell at CNBC reports that Davis and his handlers have filed trademark requests for the phrases "Fear the brow", Raise the brow", and others.

It is unknown whether Davis trademarked the phrase "He also enjoys looking ugly as hell with his unibrow", which was hacked onto Davis' Wikipedia entry earlier this year.

"Fear the Brow" gear was rampant in Kentucky during March Madness, and plenty of it is still up on eBay. "We sent a half a dozen cease-and-desist letters," said UK associate athletic director for marketing Jason Schlafer. "But towards the end of the season, people were getting really creative."

A trademark gives Davis and his sponsors the ability to go after anyone whom they feel has infringed the phrase to make a profit. Last week, Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper applied for a trademark of the phrase, "That's clown question, bro."

This seems to assure that Davis will not, in fact, shave off his unibrow once he's making those NBA millions. This does not assure, though, that Davis won't further try to profit from his unibrow by turning it into a Nike swoosh.
