Anthony Smith Burned Multiple Times In Patriots 34-13 Win Over Steelers

There have been many failed guarantees in sports but this might have been the most pathetic performance from the man with the big mouth.

Anthony Smith was burned early and often Sunday afternoon, not the least of which was this Tom Brady to Randy Moss to Tom Brady to Jabar Gaffney flea flicker early in the 3rd quarter that sealed the victory.

New England won convincingly 34-13 which just about locks up a 16-0 regular season or maybe, just maybe, will shut up Mercury Morris.

I'm pretty sure the Patriots and Steelers will meet again in 4-5 weeks and when that happens Anthony Smith might be more than open for a guarantee ... that New England will win the Super Bowl. I don't see how this season ends any other way.

Patriots 34, Steelers 13

"New England won convincingly 34-13 which just about locks up a 16-0 regular season or maybe, just maybe, will shut up Mercury Morris"

You know people are still going to give all kinds of reasons why the Giants are going to beat the Patriots, and trip all over themselves to predict a Patriots defeat in week 17.

You keep mentioning "all these people" ... out of curiosity, where are they? I haven't seen that many people anywhere predicting this. Sure, people don't like the Patriots because of their success and their fans humility, but I haven't seen a whole lot of people actually picking against them.

Sure, the Giants have the best odds of the teams left and maybe the Patriots rest some players but knowing Belichick I find that doubtful. It will be fun to watch, certainly won of the most interesting stories to track in recent seasons.

i like week 17's match-up too. I wonder what New England will do. I also will add that i agree, only a couple people on here openly voice against New England. They're not all picking against 'em. Shoot, i usually always see New England 90%+ on the Pick'em, lol, and how many peeps enter? 200-300 i think? (correct me if i am incorrect). The closest i've seen was vs. the Colts, and that is understandable seeing how tight the rivalry has been the last couple of years.

There were several people on this site, and there were also a few talking heads on ESPN who thought the Steelers would trip up the Pats. Foolish...

I was one who thought the Steelers could pull it off.  Reality set in when Brady walked into the endzone and openly popped off on the whole Steeler secondary BY HIMSELF! He told them dudes to suck on DEEEEEZZZZ NUTTTTZZZZ! You can't help but like Brady...and give the Pats some props.

I'm still looking forward for a loss, but I will say this...it will take a great GREAT game from some team to pull it off.
