According to latest reports from Italy, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering a swap deal with AC Milan. Rife rumors suggest Arsene Wenger is willing offer Nicklas Bendtner for defender Philippe Mexes.
Nicklas Bendtner is out of favor in the eyes of Emirates legend Arsene Wenger. The boss of North London has finally decided to bid farewell to his Danish striker, who played on loan for Sunderland last season.
At Sunderland, Nicklas Bendtner played in 31 games to score eight goals and provide five assists. Nicklas Bendtner expressed his desire to move out of Arsenal a couple of years ago.
The Denmark international reckons he is not being provided with enough exposure at Arsenal. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old forward has failed to impress by all means.
If Arsenal manages to sign in Philippe Mexes from a swap deal with AC Milan for Nicklas Bendtner, Gunners should consider the deal a steal.
Although, the French center back Philippe Mexes is not listed among the best defenders in the world the veteran has experience and knowledge of football. Arsene Wenger would do well by adding a classy French veteran in his team.
Philippe Mexes has been training on his in Milan after abandoning his team in between a pre-seasonal tour of United States. Philippe Mexes’s absence from the AC Milan squad is because of his pregnant wife.
A report from the Italian sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport claims that AC Milan and Arsenal are trying to find common ground in order to agree on a swap deal for Nicklas Bendtner and Philippe Mexes.
They have also informed that club officials from both ends will talk about this saga in the next couple of days.
Moreover, Didier Deschamps the national coach of France believes Philippe Mexes’ future with AC Milan will end this summer. In a recent interview, Didier Deschamps told reporters that he sees Philippe Mexes moving away from the Serie A.
“I know Philippe well and he is part of the wider France squad,” Didier Deschamps said.
“What is happening to him? I don’t know if he will leave Milan, as there is a particular situation going on with his club.”
