Arsenal manager Wenger ready to sign in Yann MíVila at cut-price £7 million
Arsene Wenger has been after Yann M’Vila for the last couple of years. It appears as if the Arsenal manager will no longer be able resist signing him in, especially after a huge drop in his market price.
The Frenchman is ready to re-launch campaign for Yann M’Vila after insiders at Rennes confirmed the midfielder was available for a staggering cut-price deal.
The attacking midfielder was labeled with a price tag of £25 million last season. A couple of football powerhouses approached Rennes during the summer and winter transfer windows with interest in Yann M’Vila, but none were able to cough up the asking price.
Now it has been confirmed that there has been an astounding £18 million drop on the price of Yann M’Vila. This means the out of favor French star will be available to Arsenal for only £7 million.
Yann M’Vila has suffered from form and fitness this season. The young France international has been unable to cement his place in the first team of Ligue 1 outfit Rennes. Arsenal attempted to sign in Yann M’Vila during the summer transfer window last year and the year before it, but they failed to acquire his signature.
Rennes are set to lose Yann M’Vila at the end of the season, which is why the French outfit is keen on selling now rather than lose him for free in the summers.
The start of January means Yann M’Vila can directly negotiate with rivaling clubs interested in his services. Players are no longer bound to let their club handle transfer interest during the last six months of the contract.
“I am at Rennes at the moment so let’s see what happens,” Yann M’Vila said explaining his transfer saga. “If the club receives a good offer and I like the destination then I will go – there is no doubt about that.”
Arsene Wenger has a huge array of different midfielders at Arsenal. The Frenchman can boast about the services of Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla, Andrey Arshavin and Mikel Arteta.
In spite of possessing such a good midfield Arsene Wenger knows it would plain dumb to lose out on Yann M’Vila for £7 million.
