After losing a bunch of transfer targets, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger plans to quickly bolster his attack before the transfer window closes this summer. Adding a central midfielder and a defender to the Arsenal squad is still on Arsene Wenger’s radar. However, the addition of Yann M’Vila seems quite unlikely now.
According to reports from France, Arsene Wenger has been put off by the attitude of the young France international. Arsenal and Yann M’Vila have been engaged in contract negotiations for the past couple of months but no progress can be reported.
Now, Arsene Wenger is scouring the market once again for a central midfielder. Rumor has it Aaron Ramsey will join Fulham on loan before the new season begins. With Jack Wilshere still on the bench recovering from his injury, Arsene Wenger will need to add at least one midfielder.
The Athletic Bilbao star Javi Martinez has not inked a contract with Bayern Munich yet; which means he still is in present in the football market. Sources within Arsenal reckon Arsene Wenger is moving in for Javi Martinez this week.
The young midfielder has been in spectacular form for club and country as of late. The Spaniard has shown interest in a move abroad but it all depends on how much foreign clubs are willing to pay for Javi Martinez.
Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and of course Bayern Munich are interested to sign in Javi Martinez.
Contrary to some reports, Javi Martinez has not yet signed a deal with Bayern Munich and is still assessing his options. Javi Martinez would fit in well with Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Arsenal.
Javi Martinez would pair up with Bastian Schweinsteiger in center of the park for Bayern Munich. At Barcelona Javi Martinez’s addition to the first team would mean the initiation of a youth revolution. Javi Martinez would probably play alongside Thiago Alcantara.
At Arsenal Javi Martinez would take his place beside Jack Wilshere or Alex Song in the heart of the midfield. Javi Martinez’s style of play also compliments with the tactics of Arsene Wenger; hence the youngster would be a huge success at Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger has already added Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud to his arsenal of attack. The addition of a versatile midfielder, Javi Martinez would allow Arsene Wenger with a huge advantage on the field.
