If Arsene Wenger loses out on Champions League there is a good chance he will be sacked this summer. Well, the 63-year-old manager is thinking about quitting himself. After facing his fourth Premier League defeat of the season Arsene Wenger declared that he will assess at the end of the season if he should continue as manager of Arsenal.
Having acquired a single victory in the last six games in the English Premier League the Gunners are in danger of falling into the bottom half of the table. Arsene Wenger believes his new side can inspire a comeback in spite their recent woes.
“We are in this job to turn things around, and I am confident we will [because of] the quality of the players and the spirit we have in the team. It is a good moment to stick together,” Arsene Wenger said.
“I am not so much worried about [league] places, even if that is not the place you want to be, but I believe what is important is we get the quality of our game back. Then the places change.”
Arsene Wenger insisted that he thoughts about calling quits in the middle of the season, but he would think about his position and future at Arsenal at the end of the season.
“You make your assessment at the end of the season, as I said many times,” the Emirates boss declared. “I know that at the moment, you get some good news from everywhere because there is a lot of unrest everywhere.
“I believe it is a good opportunity to stick together and show we are a strong club.”
Arsene Wenger has been under severe scrutiny for spending a fortune with no results. Arsene Wenger made three big signings this summer, yet he hasn’t been able to use them to challenge for the Premier League title.
