Today is an example of that, as Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer has been arrested for a DUI.
The report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
“As I spoke with him, I noticed that he had bloodshot and watery eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath,” Trooper Johnathon Nelms wrote in his report.
“I asked Mr. Budenholzer how much alcohol he had and he advised that he had one glass of wine to drink prior to driving,” Nelms said.
Based on the fact that he failed his field sobriety test and subsequently declined a breathalyzer, it's safe to say that Budenholzer's claim of only drinking one glass of wine is probably false. Unless he had the biggest wine glass known to man.
Budenholzer was released on bond, and it's unknown how the Hawks and/or the NBA will handle this.
What do you think his punishment should be, if anything?
