Get Ready To Watch The Stream Of BS From The BCS [BCS Selection Show Live Thread]

12/6/09 in NCAAF   |   Pat   |   5232 respect

I've already given my thoughts on what the BCS Bowl games should be. But of course, there's no way that could happen, because it makes far too much sense, and the matchups would just rock far too hard.

So of course, the BCS bowl committees will find a way to screw over the fans as much as possible... by pitting TCU and Boise State against each other in a bowl game, for example, so they can keep saying that they haven't beaten enough quality BCS conference teams.

If you're watching the BCS Selection Show on FOX, starting at 8 pm EST, chat it up here, and gripe about how bad the BCS sucks.

I'll be posting the matchups here as they are announced. Here's what we have so far:

BCS Championship Game: Alabama vs Texas

Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs Oregon

Orange Bowl: Georgia Tech vs Iowa

Sugar Bowl: Cincinnati vs Florida

Fiesta Bowl: Boise State vs TCU

LOL...yeah because CINN can run the ball like bama can. Dude look, I'm not a GATOR fan but they aren't going to be this year's BSU over OU. Speed vs Speed...overall talent wins out and I just don't see CINN haven't that kind of success vs UF. Gilyard is the only player on that team that could start for UF.

Alright if you say so, Florida is so overrated it's not funny if the BCS didn't have to coddle the SEC, Florida wouldn't even be in this game. And I never said that Cincy had a running game to speak of, but the talent they have at QB and wide outs is going to be something Florida hasn't seen all year, this should be a good game but Florida better be ready it's not going to be a walk in the park. Tebow and Meyer might want to have there Snuggy and Kleenex ready.

We will see how good they with Spikes and company bearing down on them.  They live off speed and UF has that to burn on both sides of the ball.

Yea they have proved that SO many times this year with the close games and they really showed it against Bama.

Pitts D gave CINN fits...UF's will have Tony on the bench.  CINN can't line up and run it down your throat like bama did UF.

No Cincy just has two QB's that can light Florida up for 300+.

The only game out of this debacle I want to watch is the Rose Bowl and maybe the BC$ Champion$hip Game.  Everything else can go fly a kite in a thunderstorm with gasoline boxers on.

The BC$ is a joke.

You notice they kept Florida "in state".  Thats pitiful BCS.........

You know they had to throw them a bone some how, oh well Tony Pike and Cincy should cram that bone right down there throats just like Bama did. I don't think Tim Tearbow will have a chance no matter where they play, just as long as there is a box of tissues in the side line.

"Another Big 12 Title for Texas..."

Um does someone want to tell Chris Rose that last nights Big 12 title makes all of 3 for Texas. Oklahoma has as many Big 12 championships in the past four years as Texas does in the entire 14 year history of the Big 12.

12/6/09   |   zzj000   |   388 respect

The BEST game will end up being Ohio St vs Oregon...... thats sad!

I dont think thats valid. ALL the BigTen schools travel well. Big schools and tons of wealthy alumni across the board.

As a Penn State fan, I can't complain. Iowa deserves it more, and at least we get to see JoePa outcoach Les Miles.

Well, if the BCS wants my measly patronage they can strap me to a chair and pull it from my cold, dead body.

I will not watch this crap.

CHICKEN SH*T BCS.... They just refused to put TCU against Florida in order to prevent "their" team all year (Florida) from losing to a Non-BCS conference team. Which would have proven without a shadow of a doubt that the BCS system is a joke.  TCU "deserved" better!!!

However, if they were to lose to Cincy, it would still be bad.  Let's not forget how much the pollsters still despise the Big East.

12/6/09   |   kramer   |   11004 respect

Yep, there it is, Cincy vs. Florida in the Sugar Bowl.  That might actually be a good game, although I would've loved to see Florida playing TCU or Boise.

12/6/09   |   Joe_L   |   12372 respect

They we go Cincy gets to whip up on Tim Tearbow.

Funny thing is, if we were to split Boise and TCU, the non-BCS schools would win two bowls  and the BCS would win two bowls.

Damn it! I guess they don't want TCU killing florida, might make some BCS haters angry. Cincy is by far weaker than Tcu or Boise.

I need to turn this off before I burst a blood vessel in rage.

Oops, too late.  Already disappointed.  TCU gets dropped to Boise... guess they're too afraid to let them play Florida.

Yep, perfectly set up for Tebow to gallop off into the sunset.  I love Cincy but they don't have a shot at beating Florida.

I DARE anyone to find an excuse for this pathetic act of cowardice.

Boise vs TCU...that sucks.
