Back And Forth Again

Very impressive performance by the Miami Heat last night. I should have stayed on them. The Spurs were bound to stumble eventually as they were on an 11-game win streak. I just thought it would happen on Sunday in Brooklyn. So much for that idea. The Nets have got to be really worried now. Not only did they get spanked by the Wiz last night, but they find out that they're going to see the Spurs coming off a loss too? YIKES!

In bailing on the Heat, I really started digging. I felt like I needed a 2nd game last night, so I looked at, and moved on, the Utah St. Aggies. I told you yesterday that the Ags opponent, San Jose St., had really taken a nosedive since suspending their best player. I learned in the games since he's been out, the Spartans had shot under 33%. Last night, they didn't disappoint either as they shot less than 25% for the game, and the Aggies stomped them. Good for me! WHEW!

There's a ton to get done today as college hoops has whopping 44 games available to me. I'm in a time crunch with this wedding I have to go to this afternoon, so let's get poppin'!

COLLEGE HOOPS (1-0 ATS/1-0 SU/1-0 TOTALS last night and 23-22/29-16/21-24 so far for the week)

BUTTA (1-0 last night and 3-1 so far for the week)

1. Georgetown (-5 1/2, U121) 62, RUTGERS 42

2. W. Michigan (-240) over BALL ST. - I really didn't like the way Western seemed to struggle at home this past week against Miami-O. I feel like I sort of "got away with one" in that game as it took late free throws to seal the deal. The Broncos are a vastly superior team to the Cardinals though, so I like them to win, but that's about as far as I want to go with it.

I'll only be moving on the sides in these games and disregarding the TOTALS.

ALL THE REST

THE NBA (7-5 last night and 25-18 so far for the week)

SU WINNERS (8-4 last night and 29-14 so far for the week)

CAVS, 76ERS, BUCKS and MAVS

Seems like it's been awhile, but we once again have the stats coming out in a tie for the Jazz/KINGS game tonight.

TOTALS (10-2 last night and 30-13 so far for the week)

OVERS - Nuggets/CAVS (215), Warriors/MAVS (209 1/2) and Jazz/KINGS (197 1/2)

UNDERS - Bobcats/76ERS (188 1/2) and Pistons/BUCKS (202)

BUTTA (0-1 last night and 2-2 so far for the week)

1. BUCKS (-7) over Pistons - Milwaukee is fresh off a 2-game run into the mountains that didn't go so well for them, but the key work here is "fresh". The Bucks have had a couple days off while this will be the Pistons 5th game in 7 nights. BUCKS 110, Pistons 90

2. MAVS (-260) over Warriors - Another case of a tired team as this will be the Warriors 4th game in 5 nights, all on the road, and they've been getting shredded on this trip. The Mavs don't play much defense either, so laying (-5 1/2) with them looks a little risky to me. Dallas should be the fresher team though, and that should pay off late when the Mavs normally have had their most trouble so far this season. MAVS 116, Warriors 106

ALL THE REST

1. CAVS (+6) vs. Nuggets - Considering the Cavs have been a bad b2b team this season, it just doesn't look right to me that the numbers should be leaning toward them for this game. We know how the Nugs play, and Denver will be trying to run the Cavs legs off tonight. Once again though, it looks like the best direction to look in this one would be toward the OVER. CAVS 118, Nuggets 110

2. 76ERS (-9) over Bobcats - The Sixers just aren't a team you want to lay this many with, but the 'Cats aren't a group that you can feel safe with, even with a boat load of points like this. 76ERS 91, Bobcats 78

3. Jazz (+1) at KINGS - The Jazz are the better team, but the way this series has gone between these 2 teams over the years, you just might as well flip a coin. These games always seem to come down to the final possession. Jazz 100, KINGS 100

Now, that's what I call serious business. Have a great Saturday, everybody! Be careful out there, and I'll talk to you again tomorrow.
