About Me:
I kid around a lot.. I'm never to be taken too seriously... mostly everything I say/do is in a joking or sarcastic way.. I'm not full of myself.. but I am confident... I think everyone should be :) Obviously I'm on here because I'm obsessed with sports... and I like meeting other people that are too... xoxo

Back to Square One
8/5/08

Even as a die hard Packers fan -- with much respect for Brett Favre -- I'm getting sick of this crap.

Today -- we're back to release and trade talks.  Brett and Mike McCarthy have agreed that they are at a stalemate.... He wants to start, McCarthy says No.  He wants a release, shot down again.  So instead of going to practice, he said it's time for them to part ways.  Honestly, after all the drama this summer -- who could possibly forget about it and get back to the game... on any team.

Will they trade him to the Vikings?  Are we back to the Jets and TB -- where we know he doesn't want to go and with whom the Pack couldn't seal a deal with?

And why can they not split the job?  I've said this over and over again -- divide up who starts down the middle -- divide up who plays second half down the middle... the end.  It's like Solomon and the baby.... and it gives the Pack all sorts of options....

Should the Pack have a 12 million dollar backup when their "starter" is making 680K?  Probably not.  Is this creating mass confusion for the team?  Of course -- it's become a media circus and ESPN is loving every blessed minute of it.  They've had Wendy camped out at Lambeau for almost a week.

So now it's Tuesday, the fans are up in arms, Mike and Brett still can't agree, the media circus and speculation continues, the blog writing is at a new high ... and it's looking more and more like release time.

In retrospect, it's sad that this is what it has come down to -- if this was the solution from Day One -- then it should have been handled back in June.  Done.  There was no need for this to drag on and on and on and on and on.

And beyond "WHOSE FAULT IT IS" which seems to be the only thing discussed on Fan IQ -- is what needs to be done -- and who's going to get it done.  if a deal needs to be worked out -- then it needs to be worked out NOW.

I'm tired of waiting -- I have a fantasy team to draft -- I need some answers.

I think you're speaking for a lot of us, including non-Packers fans.

It's time to get this thing done!
