It seems that less than 24 hours after the logo was released to the public, it wound up being featured in a robbery where a man allegedly hit a TD Banknorth in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Hilariously, the image of the thief was recently put up on TV all around the Boston area, with the hanging Sox hat prominently featured, letting everyone know about the new logo's popularity with the criminal element - which is most Red Sox fans anyway if I remember my time in Boston correctly.
Not exactly the way you want to show the new logo off to the public.
And for those of you that not only hate the Red Sox, but also the Yankees, I have some good news for you. The same dude also seems to have hit a bank in Springfield while wearing a Yankees cap.
