The Knicks' 89-87 Game 4 victory was a very costly one, as point guard Baron Davis' knee was absolutely destroyed in the 3rd quarter. An MRI has shown that Davis has suffered a partial tear of his patella tendon and a complete tear of the ACL and MCL, according to Alan Hahn of the MSG Network.
Hahn also says that Davis will likely miss 12 full months. That means he won't be able to return to the NBA until the beginning of the 2013-14 season.
At that point, he'll be 34 years old. After an injury like this, will he be able to come back to the NBA at all? That's definitely a long shot for Davis, who has had some serious back issues in the past as well.
In case you haven't seen it, here's the video. Warning: It's not for the faint of heart.
