Barry Bonds is Struggling - Time For Another What If He Never Homers Again Post
>7 days ago
Granted, now that I've written this Barry Bonds will assault the Sheffield Avenue pavement with a smattering of home runs this week and break the record during the Giants 4 game series in Chicago. Bonds right now is in an 0-20 slump and none too pleased.
Everybody slumps, but Bonds is in a big one. After going a really ugly 0-for-5 Sunday, he fumed, "It's an embarrassment for me to be wearing this uniform."With each Barry slump I'm forced to entertain myself with the pipe dream that he just won't break the record.
Nobody expects Bonds to wield a gold glove, but the swing, oh my. It's so bad that the Giants are considering giving the McCovey Cove kayakers a break by flooding an area near the Giants' bullpen, bringing the boaters into the yard and letting them chase Bonds pop-ups on Barry Lagoon.
So I guess that begs the question -- Would you like to Bonds break the record against your team if it meant you could watch it live? Would you even WANT to watch it live?
