Barry Bonds is Struggling - Time For Another What If He Never Homers Again Post
by CriticalFanatic

Granted, now that I've written this Barry Bonds will assault the Sheffield Avenue pavement with a smattering of home runs this week and break the record during the Giants 4 game series in Chicago.

Bonds right now is in an 0-20 slump and none too pleased.
Everybody slumps, but Bonds is in a big one. After going a really ugly 0-for-5 Sunday, he fumed, "It's an embarrassment for me to be wearing this uniform."

Nobody expects Bonds to wield a gold glove, but the swing, oh my. It's so bad that the Giants are considering giving the McCovey Cove kayakers a break by flooding an area near the Giants' bullpen, bringing the boaters into the yard and letting them chase Bonds pop-ups on Barry Lagoon.
With each Barry slump I'm forced to entertain myself with the pipe dream that he just won't break the record.

So I guess that begs the question -- Would you like to Bonds break the record against your team if it meant you could watch it live? Would you even WANT to watch it live?

I hope he never hits another one!! After all the years of acting like an ass! He doesn't deserve the record..even if he didn't use steroids!!

No kidding.

Just like I believe all pitchers should plunk/walk him no matter the situation, I think journalists should ignore him.  It's sad that a quote from Barry is needed to justify the night in sports.  The guy deserves to die alone.

I'd want to see it live, just I'd have a chance to catch the ball and become rich by selling it!

Thing is, if he doesn't get it this year, you know he'll try to play again next year.  (The question, of course, is who would sign him)

I wish I was already comfortable financially so when I caught it I could pull out a sharpie and scribble some PG-13 babble about cheating all over it and throw it back.

Between Little League, Babe Ruth league, and all other leagues I've ever played in, I think I'm hovering around 12. Unless you want to count a couple of in-the-park shots I had in softball last year...

Since my thoughts on Bonds pretty much echo this article, I'll say that yes I would go see it live. It's not exactly something that happens every day.
