Bayern Munich defeat Real Madrid on penalties to reach the Champions League final
Fate has played its role! Bayern Munich will play the Champions League final at their home, Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich defeated Real Madrid 3-1 on penalties to reach the Champions League final. Bayern Munich won the first leg of the match 2-1, however Real Madrid won the second with a similar score-line.

Estaben Granero and Kaka lost two good chances of scoring in the final moments of the game. These lost chances were the reason Real Madrid failed to qualify for the Champions League final.
Mario Gomez also lost two crucial opportunities of scoring in the dying moments of match but Bayern Munich worked as a team to overcome the loss. In the end it seemed like Bayern Munich had more passion and aspiration to play in the Champions League final at Allianz Arena. This was probably the reason behind their away victory.
