Bayern Munich prepare £40m bid for Liverpool star Luis Suarez
The future manager of Bayern Munich, Pep Guardiola has marked Liverpool star Luis Suarez as his summer transfer target. According to reports from the Mirror, Pep Guardiola will make a bid worth £40 million once he arrives at the German club.
Luis Suarez has been in impressive form for Liverpool since moving from Ajax in 2011. The 25-year-old Uruguay international has scored 16 goals in 22 Premier League appearances, which is just one short of the league’s top goal scorer Robin van Persie.
Liverpool have picked up form since signing Daniel Sturridge for £12 million from Chelsea. Daniel Sturridge is finally providing Luis Suarez with support in front of the sticks – something that will help the Uruguayan score more goals.
Time and again Luis Suarez has announced he is happy to play for Liverpool, but the English powerhouse must strive and earn a Champions League spot in the near future. Luis Suarez recently claimed that Liverpool were still aiming for a top four finish, even though his side is positioned 7th on the Premier League table.
Truth be told, due to the increasing competition in the Premier League, Liverpool will find it very hard to qualify for Champions League this season. The Merseyside club is only seven points away from a top four position, but in order to acquire it Liverpool will have to climb over Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.
Anyway, the possibility of Luis Suarez’s departure in the future cannot be denied. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers might as well start preparing for his replacement because Luis Suarez’s agent in the brother of Pep Guardiola. Therefore, a switch to Bayern Munich is quite plausible.
A 5-0 victory over Norwich City last weekend has given hope to Liverpool’s cause. Luis Suarez got his name on the score-sheet once again. The striker now has a tally of 20 goals and eight assists in 30 appearances for Liverpool this season.
Bayern Munich’s interest in Luis Suarez will be rivaled by Juventus during the summer transfer window. The Italian football giants have been running after Luis Suarez’s services for over a year now.
Luis Suarez was being linked to a winter exit if Liverpool failed to impress in the Premier League this season, but manager Brendan Rodgers managed to convince Luis Suarez into signing an extension contract with the Merseyside club.
