Bayern Munich forward Mario Gomez is rumored to be on the move. The Germany international’s agent has admitted the possibility of a summer switch if a good offer arrives. Meanwhile, media and fans wait for explanatory comments from Mario Gomez comments on this saga.

Mario Gomez has started in only seven games this season, so statistics of 23 appearances and 10 goals cannot be used against him. Moreover, the 27-year-old is having trouble returning to form after going under the knife for his ankle last summer.

It’s been a frustrating season for the former VfB Stuttgart striker, but the German hit-man is starting to hand in impressive performances. Mario Gomez scored his eighth league in Bayern Munich’s 4-0 hammering of Nurnberg on Saturday.

Mario Gomez grabbed a starting-spot, but only because key players from the squad were rested because of Bayern Munich’s Champions League clash against Barcelona set for 23rd April.

Mario Gomez’s agent Uli Ferber admits his client is not “delighted about his situation” at Bayern Munich. Uli Ferber claims Mario Gomez has always been “loyal” to Bayern Munich, which is why the German star deserves to get a second chance.

“Of course, Mario is not delighted about his situation. This can’t carry on,” Uli Ferber told Bild recently.

Reports suggest Atletico Madrid are eager to sign in Mario Gomez, who has netted 104 times in 165 appearances for Bayern Munich. Mario Gomez arrived at Bayern Munich at the age of 24 and has established himself as one of the most lethal strikers in the world in a span of two years.

“There has always been interest in Gomez,” Uli Ferber continued. “During his time at VfB Stuttgart, ahead of his transfer to FC Bayern and before he extended his contract, and, of course, also now.”

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge refused to speculate about the future of Mario Gomez.

“I don’t know what Mario plans,” Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said. “Let’s wait and see what happens. He has not spoken to us so far.”
