If you're going to be watching the Olympics on NBC today, be prepapred to spend all day at the pool. We've got water polo, more water polo, followed by even MORE water polo, followed by swimming. Stuck in occassionally is some beach volleyball for you.The real fun will come later this evening when Michael Phelps goes for his third gold medal in the 200 meter freestyle. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he wins it, primarily because he's also the world record holder in it. Sure, that's a risky call on my part, but I feel good about my pick.
Here's today's main NBC schedule.
10am to 11am - The U.S. women's water polo team has won two consecutive Olympic medals. The path to a third begins with a preliminary match against China. From the pool to the sand, Americans Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser -- the top men’s beach volleyball team in the world -- look to bounce back from an opening loss, against Sascha Heyer and Patrick Heuscher of Switzerland. Also, more swimming qualifying heats from the "Water Cube."
