A ridiculous amount of great stuff from Beijing today. First up, the US men's basketball team is taking on Greece in a huge game. Greece beat the US in Athens in 2004 and beat them in the 2006 World Championships, so this game has payback written all over it.

Unfortunately, that game is not on NBC, but instead USA. However, I assume most of you get that.

As for NBC, Michael Phelps goes for his 6th gold medal of these games tonight in an event that no one's beaten him in since he started swimming it in 2001. I like his odds for another gold, to say the least.

The undeafeated men's volleyball team plays this evening as well in what should be an emotional game. They are of course playing for their head coach, Hugh McCutcheon, whose father-in-law was murdered earlier this week in Beijing.

Also, in what is always one of the biggest events of the Games, Shawn Johnson and Natasia Liukin of the US women's gymnastics team go for the individual women's gold.

On USA Network

8am to 11am - Coverage includes a men's basketball preliminary-round game between the U.S. and Greece (LIVE ET/CT). The American national team was upset by the Greeks during semifinal play at the 2006 World Championships and finished an admittedly disappointing third.

On NBC

10am to 11am - Michael Phelps continues his rivalry in the 100m fly with countryman and Maine native Ian Crocker, who owns the world record in the event. Both men - and others in various events -- swim to advance to the semifinals.

11am to 12pm - Undefeated in Beijing and already assured of advancing, the American pairing of Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal look to sew up the top spot in their pool against Japan's Kentaro Asahi and Katsuhiro Shiratori on the final day of men's beach volleyball preliminary-round competition.

12pm to 1pm - Rowing semifinals are contested at Shunyi Olympic Park.

8pm to 9 pm - The U.S. men's volleyball team plays undefeated Bulgaria. The Americans, also undefeated, can secure a quarterfinal berth with a win and they have the back of their coach, Hugh McCutcheon, just days following the murder of his father-in-law in Beijing. Other coverage includes the men's C-2 whitewater canoeing gold-medal final.

9pm to 10pm - More beach volleyball competition from the sand at Chaoyang Park Ground (LIVE ET/CT).

10pm to 11pm - Coverage of more gold-medal swimming (LIVE ET/CT), and perhaps most notable is the men’s 200m IM where world-record holder Michael Phelps seeks his sixth Beijing gold medal - the 12th of his career - equaling his total from four years ago in Athens. In the men’s 200m back, Americans Aaron Peirsol and Ryan Lochte could add another chapter to their back-and-forth rivalry.

11pm to 1am - In 1984, 16-year-old gymnast Mary Lou Retton won gold in the women's individual all-around competition. In 2004, 16-year-old Carley Patterson did it. Now, at the Beijing Games, two more U.S. teens - Shawn Johnson and Natasia Liukin - each have a chance to win what is perhaps the most prominent event at the Olympics (LIVE ET/CT).
