Orb, the winner of the Kentucky Derby, is a 3 to 1 favorite heading into the Belmont Stakes

Horse racing only has a few marquee events that capture the public’s interest, and even though there will be no Triple Crown winner this year, the Belmont Stakes is one of those event. The race will feature Orb, the winner of the Kentucky Derby, and the odds on favorite to win the Belmont Stakes.  Orb placed fourth in last month’s Preakness Stakes—the second of the Triple Crown races—and cost himself a shot at history. However, the horse is still expected to be a major player in this year’s Belmont Stakes and is a 3 to 1 favorite to win the race.
