Tonight's TV goodness
There were no real upsets in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, but there sure as hell have been a few in the NCAA Hockey Tournament. The Frozen Four features super-Cinderella Bemidji State, which sounds like a autonomous city-state in the Middle East. You should definitely tune in to watch some entertaining college hockey tonight.
College men's ice hockey: NCAA Division I tournament, semifinals, in Washington, Miami (Ohio) vs. Bemidji State (ESPN2, 5 p.m.); Vermont vs. Boston University (ESPN2, 8:30 p.m.)
Golf: Masters Tournament, first round, in Augusta, Ga. (ESPN, going on until 8 p.m.)
NBA: Philadelphia at Chicago (TNT, 8:15 p.m.); Denver at Los Angeles Lakers (TNT, 10:30 p.m.)

It's hard to keep up with NCAA hockey on the west coast. From what I understand, A-Huntsville won the D-2 title a few times and lobbied hard to get promoted to D-1.

Yeah, your right, it's those 4. Someone was saying to me that A-Huntsville was joining the CCHA, which is fine by me, they suck pretty hard, and Ferris needs all the wins they can get.

I think you're thinking of the CHA, which currently has Bemidji State, Alabama-Huntsville, Niagara, and Robert Morris. Apparently all the other teams have conferences next season except for Bemidji is what I heard. Figures I can't find any sources when I need them.

Then again, college hockey's tournament never makes a load of sense.
It makes more sense than the Basketball tourny. Where they invite at least 40 teams who have no chance in hell of winning the title.

They opened their season with 2 games @ Maine a couple years back. I was there. Bemidji got destroyed, it was fun.

Bemidji's done thanks to Miami. It's odd, they killed the CCHA's best (Notre Dame) but got killed by Miami.
