Bengals lineman Andre Smith arrested at Atlanta airport with gun in carry-on

Andre Smith is still an idiot, this time for trying to bring a gun on a plane, in his carry-on

Blog Photo - Bengals lineman Andre Smith arrested at Atlanta airport with gun in carry-onAndre Smith was once known as an extremely talented offensive line prospect from Alabama.

He showed up to the NFL Draft combine incredibly out of shape, but was still taken 6th overall by the Bengals in 2009.

He has been a pretty good player, and was one of the best linemen in the NFL this year, but it looks like his stupidity has caught up to him once again.

Smith was arrested today for trying to bring a .38-caliber handgun onto an airplane in his carry-on bag.

Newsflash, folks: You're not allowed to bring guns on airplanes.

Smith was arrested in Atlanta, and is currently free on bond.

Should Roger Goodell take a look at this and level some punishment against Smith? At a time when guns are a pretty sensitive issue in the US, this is a pretty bad look for the NFL.

In a league where the commissioner drops 5-figure fines for guys who wear the wrong socks, Goodell needs to come down hard on Smith.

I can't imagine what he was thinking. Well R. Goodell will probably nail him. Why does he need a gun anyway? Watch out could be another murder suicide. Or is he just crying for attention? Somebody ought to tell him that s the wrong way.

Andre Smith is the reason why I'm always leery of my Rams having any draft interest in an Alabama offensive lineman

Actually you are wrong, you can bring guns on a flight. They have to be in your checked luggage, you may not carry it onto the plane with you.
