Bernie Fine has been relieved of his duties as Jim Boeheim's top assistant on the Syracuse basketball sidelines, The Associated Press is reporting

Fine is embroiled in molestation allegations against young boys. Earlier today a third accuser was reported, and reports that Fine's wife was aware of the abuse became public.
"At the direction of Chancellor Cantor, Bernie Fine's employment with Syracuse University has been terminated, effective immediately," Kevin Quinn, the school's senior vice president for public affairs, said in a statement.

Fine has been with Boeheim through the duration of his Syracuse career. He was roamed the sidelines since 1976 and was seen as Boeheim's successor had he chosen to retire.

Boeheim had maintained his support for Fine throughout the investigation, but on Sunday he expressed his support for the decision to fire Fine and also apologized for previous comments in which he blamed the alleged victims of Fine's assaults for making false accusations.
