Big Brown May Finally Be The Triple Crown Horse We've Been Waiting For
>7 days ago
Like most people, I'm not any kind of huge horse racing fan, but I always watch the three legs of the Triple Crown, even when no horse has a shot at winning it.
But luckily, this year, the Triple Crown is not only a very real possibility, it almost seems inevitable at this point.
Big Brown blew away the competition today at the Preakness with such a dominant run that he almost seemed to breathe new life into the sport in the process. The stunning thing was that Big Brown won by 5 1/4 lengths (even though it seem like much more than that) and wasn't whipped once. I may not know a lot about horse racing, but that, my friends, is impressive.
For the first time since Smarty Jones lost the Triple Crown by a nose, I'm actually excited about horse racing. I can't wait for the Belmont Stakes. I think we're finally going to see another horse win the Triple Crown. Big Brown is the real deal.
