Bill Russell has always been known as an elite defender, and rightfully so. The man was an absolute nightmare for opposing offenses. His shot-blocking and rebounding skills were nearly unparalleled.Lots of people people don't realize that he was also pretty damn good offensively, too.
Fortunately, there's a video that just got released that shows just how athletic he was, and demonstrates his ability to run the floor a bit.
This is from his days at the University of San Francisco, where he completely dominated other college players. He averaged 20 points and 20 rebounds per game in his college career, and was drafted with the 2nd overall pick in the 1956 NBA Draft, right behind Si Green, who qualifies as a pretty monumental bust.
There's obviously a little skepticism surrounding the video, but we're pretty sure it's real.
