Apparently when you're no longer good at what you're good at, you move on to the second best thing if you're Terrell Owens.
Today on The Dan Patrick Show, Los Angeles Clipper Blake Griffin revealed that the ex-NFLer went to the team asking for a job. Blake said:
“Terrell Owens is always — he was at our practice facility this summer, begging coaches for a 10-day contract.”
Begging, huh? Way to sell him out a bit there.
Owens played basketball for his college, the University of Tennessee -Chattanooga, so at least it wasn't completely out of the blue.
However, asking for only a 10-day contract screams of a publicity stunt, and the Clippers are even less about a media circus than the Lakers are. Even Lamar Odom didn't renew his reality show when he signed with the Clips.
The Clippers are also finally being considered a serious threat in the NBA, not just the Western Conference. It was silly for T.O. to ask, even if he does have experience.
