I blame the Lakers for allowing the Celtics to pour it on.

They were ok vs. the Lakers. It was the turnovers, dumb mistakes, not making easy shots, and the no-calls that got them eliminated. Also, you can't make that claim that the Celtics would have killed the Spurs. Both games in the regular season were fights to the final minute. Both games under 5 point victories. SA matched up better versus BOS than the Lakers. Pau and Odom can't guard KG as well as Duncan does. Bruce Bowen would've held Paul Pierce under 25 the whole series, and Tony Parker>Derek Fisher. Spurs sucked horribly in the WCF, and they would have represented the West better than LA. To get crushed to that magnitude puts a bad mark on the Western Conference. Shame on LA, and bigger shame on SA for not pulling through on the wins they should have finished versus LA.

I'm pretty sure the only shame goes on LA for not even putting up a fight with their season on the line.  There's no debate we were best in the West - we flew right through it.
