Bloggers React: Cavs get whacked early and often in Game 2
READ MORE:
NBA
I wonder if Cavs fans TV sets turned to black late in the 2nd quarter Sunday night? Cleveland was whacked before I ever got a chance to watch.

Here's some early morning reaction around the blogosphere:

Pounding the Rock pounds on the Cavaliers and the whole Eastern Conference ...
Hell, even Spurs fans have to be disappointed in this series.  The Cavaliers have been a damned joke so far.  The Spurs have yet to throw an A game out there and they are still winning comfortably.  Lebron continues to play timidly for large stretches despite it being clear they cannot compete that way.  Seriously, how bad has the Eastern Conference gotten when their finals representative has the media clamoring for more playing time for Eric Snow and Damon Jones?  Eesh.
Cavs Blog is trying to convince himself (as am I) that this is not over ...
This was a whipping, nothing else.  I've seen them before in the AT&T Center and I'll see them again probably.  Not only are the Spurs the better-looking team after the 103-92 Game 2 win, they are playing at a very high level.  If they continue to play like this, I don't think it will matter what the Cavs do in all honestly.  We can talk about adjustments and intensity and coaching all night.  That said, it, too, is just a single game.  Obviously the Spurs look like the dominant team, but I am compelled by my realist nature and perspective-based style to say the series is not over.
The Basketball Jones begs the Cavs to go small ... If you're not listening to this podcast already, you're a fool.
True Hoop points out one thing Cleveland is doing well ...
Manu Ginobili points out post-game that he's not getting into the lane. True enough. Which means Cleveland is doing something well. Which means, in theory, things could get worse. Doesn't it feel like Cleveland is stuck in goo? This probably isn't such a big deal, but it just kills me how slow Cleveland is getting into plays. They work the ball at the shoulder for several seconds just to get the ball to LeBron at the three-point line with a dozen seconds left on the shot clock. Then he takes four or five more seconds before even starting a move. Some part of me just feels like that's anti-basketball. When things are moving easier, there's a rhythm to the game. Opportunities arise. Everyone has energy, pop, zing. I know plenty of teams have won by killing clock, but it just looks like it'll be the death of this team. I'd like to see what these players could do when they're moving, and giving themselves an opportunity to move the ball and get things happening.
The Starting Five reiterates what I was begging after Game 1 ...
The Cleveland Cavaliers need to take away something and that something is Tony Parker’s ability to penetrate into the lane - at any cost. Parker showed he can make jump shots, so Brown must devise a way for Hughes or Snow or James to force Parker to drive and then commit three defenders to stopping him. Then the Cavs need to rotate with a vengeance…. and pray that Tim Duncan doesn’t score 40.
For the sake of my interest level, I'm doing my best to convince myself this isn't over. But of course it is. Mike Brown is incapable of adjusting properly, and the Cavs are incapable of playing the 3rd quarter. At very least, the games are going to be close(r) in Cleveland so there's something to look forward to. That, and not waiting another 3 days for a game.
