Covering all the bases while in awe of the King ...
Cleveland Pronks Cle 11, Det 5 C.C Sabathia picked up his 8th win of the year (8-1), Travis Hafner hit his 10th HR, and the Indians established a firm grasp on the AL Central with it's 4th straight win against the Tigers. All and all a good day for Cleveland (see: some guy named James).
Giambi to the DL or the "DL" Out at least 3 weeks, maybe season I can't help but think about the timing here. Two weeks after his second apology, one week after his amphetimine news, one week after meeting with Selig ... Jason goes down with a potentially year endind injury. Too weird. If nothing else, karma has had it's say. (LoHud)
Hallaaaa! Tor 2, Chi 0 Roy Halladay is off the DL and back dealing with his 100th win. Baseball isn't pretty in Chicago right now. You've already got columnists asking the team to scrap the season, and the manager's begging for someone to take him out of his misery. And we haven't even mentioned the debacle that is the North Side.
Giant Duque NYM 4, SF It was pretty at the start, but Hernandez hit his stride in time for the Mets to pick up a big series win over the Giants. Bad news is the Carlos Beltran could be out with a knee injury. MRI today after a collision at 1st with Rich Aurilia.
Add on to anything I missed in the comments.
