If you were to create a list of the top 5 sleaziest coaches in college basketball, Bob Huggins would likely be fighting for the top spot along with John Calipari. There have been numerous questions about Huggins' time at the University of Cincinnati and same with his time at West Virginia. I mean, I honestly think that during his Cincinnati days, Huggins went to state prisons to do recruiting.

Anyway, the whole point here is that Huggins seems to be involved with some shady characters, which explain why he recently showed up to a fundraiser with not one, but two, black eyes.

Here was the caption to this picture from the Dominion Post:

Huggins kept his sense of humor as he sported two black eyes and a welt. He says he stepped into the edge of his bathroom door late one night. Pastilong's right hand was in a cast from recent surgery.

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time believing that stepping into your bathroom door would result in two black eyes. Unless of course you stepped into it a second time. Or it has a filthy left hook.

I tell you, it's tough out there on the recruiting trail. Literally.

We don't need no stinking facts. Going to state prisons to do recruiting? That's a little harsh, isn't it? Involved with some shady characters? SYMPATHY FOR MIKE VICK, DEATH TO HUGGINS! Huggs gets a bad rap. Let's not forget he got UC to the tourney 16 years in a row, won 10 conference titles and was named coach of the decade.
So which thug gave Huggs the black eyes? Maybe one of his prisoners he was trying to recruit hated Huggs so much for trying to give him a shot, that he kicked his a$$. Maybe it was his gang initiation. Or if you know anything about Huggins, you probably know he has a drinking problem. Logic would dictate he got drunk, ran his mouth, and got his a$$ kicked.

Now, now, it was a funny article and most truthful. How do you think he got there 16 yrs in a row and won 10 conference titles and named coach of the decade?????? *gives the ole wink and a nod* Hard to handle the truth when it looks you in the eye.
How is it mostly truthful? The only FACT I saw in that "article" was that Huggs had two black eyes. Point to one other fact. He aquired all of those accolades by recruiting players with talent and consistent, good coaching. Are you saying the Sooners are a good football team because they recruit criminals? Are you saying that Huggs's team won consistently because they strong-armed their way to victory? Please clarify because your post doesn't seem to make any sense. I can handle the truth...when the truth is delivered to me. What I read now is fairytales.
