The Red Sox are cleaning house, starting with Bobby Valentine
Valentine led the Sox to an incredibly disappointing 69-93 record, resulting in a last place finish in the AL East.
Valentine's personal issues with players, from Kevin Youkilis to Dustin Pedroia to Will Middlebrooks, likely played a huge role in the failure of the team, and ultimately him getting fired.
The Red Sox are rumored to be interested in Blue Jays manager John Farrell, a former Red Sox pitching coach who is very well respected in Boston. Farrell still has another year on his contract, however, and it's still unclear whether or not the Blue Jays would be willing to let him manage a division rival.
That having been said, Farrell's Blue Jays weren't exactly world beaters, finishing in 4th place with a 73-89 record, so the Blue Jays might be willing to move in a different direction if the Red Sox are really that desperate to take Farrell off their hands.
Who do you think will be the next Red Sox manager?
