The decision comes after a weekend visit with the Broncos, which apparently impressed the 6-foot-2, 185-pound athlete.

Shipley is a three-star prospect and the No. 10 player in the state of Oregon. He becomes the 24th member of Chris Petersen’s recruiting class of 2013.

During his senior year, Shipley totaled 1,912 offensive yards and 21 touchdowns at multiple positions. The versatile athlete saw time in the backfield, at receiver and under center.

He also holds offers from BYU, Colorado, Oregon State and Wyoming.
