Now both of them are on their way home to join their team as the Winter Olympics break draws to a close and teams are already in full swing of action to prepare and team practices are going at full speed. With both of them set to come back, assistant coach Jeff Ward is looking forward to having his team practicing and getting back together.
“I know they’re back. I think Zee is coming back today sometime, Krech may be on the same flight, I haven’t heard about his travel arrangements. We’ll probably give them off until Sunday or Monday,” he said, “give them a couple of days to recoup, they’ve been playing an awful lot of hockey and we want to make sure they’re well-rested for the game in Buffalo.”
Chara and Krejci are important players for Bruins and having them back soon is something of an advantage to them. They will have some extra time compared to other teams and players to get ready for the matches as NHL comes back on the ice. They may have been eliminated from the Olympics and their shot at the medals done for butt coming back at home and NHL means they still have that to compete for and the extra time they have is an important factor that will help them in their preliminary matches.
They are set to face the Buffalo Sabres who might be an easy matchup as they have a 4 game losing streak. Sounds like a good match to get warmed up.
