Boston dominated this game shooting a blazing 61.6% from the field. The Celtics had 7 guys in double figures,, including Ray Allen's 21 point performance. Coach Doc Rivers stated that he thought that Rajon Rondo's pushing of the tempo was why the Celtics went off today. On the other side, Toronto was led by Chris Bosh who put up 24 points and pulled down 6 rebounds. Despite winning easily, the Celtics had two technicals called against them - one for arguing and the other for taunting. Denver also shot the lights out tonight, shooting 54.1%. The Nuggets had four guys score over 20 points who combined for 89 of their 114 points. The Bulls were leading by 3 with 5:05 left in the 4th, when the Nuggets went of on a 18-2 run to finish the game. Carmelo Anthony, who was shooting less than 30% in his last 4 games, shot 6 of 11 tonight on his way to a 23 point, 14 rebound, and 8 assist performance. Ben Gordon led the Bulls with 28 points on the strength of hitting 5 3 pointers. The Nuggets are now 8-2 since acquiring Chauncey Billups.

Both the Lakers and Kings shot over 50% tonight, but the Lakers hit 10 more free throws which ultimately made the difference in the game. Andrew Bynum had a double double and Kobe Bryant led the way with 24 points for the Lakers. All 5 Laker starters scored in double figures and Bynum, Trevor Ariza, and Jordan Farmar came off the bench to do the same. The Lakers led the game by 16 going into the 4th quarter but the Kings closed it to as much as 6 before the Lakers closed the game out with the 10 point victory. The Lakers are now an NBA-best 11-1. The NBA may have given us the best Christmas gift of all when the Lakers and Celtics face off on Christmas day in a little over a month.
