Boston College Falls to Florida State

I'm not going to overreact like your typical fan and say told you so ... Boston College was overrated. That's not me. I did predict a loss tonight for the 2nd ranked Eagles, but they're a good football team, if not very good. In this college football season where very few teams have managed to bring their A-game every week, Boston College deserved the high billing but were also due for a few breaks to go the other way.

Florida State, despite their struggles, remains one of the most talented teams in the country and just need to play a complete game on both sides of the football ... and hope it rained, a lot.

Matt Ryan is awesome. I'd take him first next April, but blame it on the rain or poor decision making he threw 3 interceptions, the last of which sealed a Seminoles victory and Boston College bidding adieu to the national title picture.

BC can now set their sights on winning the ACC and yet another quality bowl game. Few teams have done it quite like the Eagles, and despite the loss, fans should feel good about the football program.

Florida State 27, Boston College 17
