Boston Fans Spur Game 5 Comeback With Fatness And Reverse Mohawks
The Greatest Playoff Comeback Ever Was Spurred On By A Fat Guy

While most of Boston was heading to bed with the Red Sox down 7-0 last night, there was one man who believed that the Sox could come back.

Yes, during the Red Sox's bleakest hour, random fat guy Rick Melanson hopped into action. And by hopped into action I mean he regrettably took off his shirt and started waving for the crowd to wake up and cheer the home team on.

Obviously hypnotized by Melanson's undulating fatness, the Boston crowd responded and gave new hope to its team, which proceeded to score 8 unanswered runs.

I have no doubt that this man saved Boston's season. But wait, it may not have been just Melanson who spurred the Sox on to victory.

Red Sox Monster informed me that the real reason the Red Sox won was because Boston fans are now rocking the reverse Ray-Hawk, seen below.

And last, but certainly not least, apparently Rays superfan Brian "Nasty Boy" Knobbs was ejected from the stadium for rowdy behavior in the eighth inning. Knobbs had apparently been present in all of Tampa Bay's previous victories in the series. Knobbs, a former pro wrestler, is known as the Rays' official 10th Man.

So, just so everyone knows, the comeback last night had nothing to do with the players on the field at all. No sir. It had everything to do with fat guys, reverse mohawks, and drunk wrestlers. Man, I can't wait for Game 6.

wtf?? Only in Boston would they give credit to an awesome comeback to a fat ugly old man that don't know it. I mean, this guy has no business showing skin anywhere, hell he should even shower with his clothes on.

At least this guy didn't head for the exits like plenty of other Red Sox fans in the 7th inning.

I thought this headline was talking about me until I saw the pics.  I am much prettier than this man.

No kidding. Red Sox nation turned their backs and started heading for the exits rather quickly.

There are not a lot of real fans or members of the Nation at Fenway Park in the postseason.  It's much too expensive.  They're a bunch of fairweather socialites that wanted to "be seen" and could afford $1200 a pair for bleacher seats.  Most real Boston fans are working for a living and don't have that kind of jack to drop on a couple of tickets for the game.

Spoken from a true Red Sox fan. Thanks for your take.

Hey, Ho man, I'm not insulting you directly.  You're like half of the Cubs fans I know.  If you say something negative about 1 or a few Cubs fans then that means that you called every one of them idiots.  Perhaps you, and possibly other Red Sox fans are the same way?

You slam the fans and the sox in every post. I guess I just don't like you.

I slammed the fans who left in the 7th inning of a PLAYOFF game, and I predicted that the Red Sox would lose.  I don't think that is slamming the fans in general, and I don't think that predicting that a team that is down 3 games to 1 is slamming them either.  In another thread I actually mentioned that I admired the fact that the core of this Red Sox team doesn't give up, and that most of the fans don't either.  You can not like me, but you could just stick to not liking me without making up reasons that aren't true.

I would have loved you if your White Sox would've handled The Rays in the Division Series

That would have just made the ALCS too easy... that would have been no fun.
