We've Officially Heard Every Athlete Excuse In The Book
5/20/08
We're subjected to a plethora of athlete's excuses as to why they haven't fulfilled their potential: too many distractions, too many injuries, too much money, too much stress, too many drugs, too much booze. But now, I've heard it all. Former Australian boxing legend Jeff Fenech says his sexual appetite got in the way of his success.
It's got to be a joke, right? How could too many women around you possibly be a bad thing. This is how (emphasis not needed, but added by me):
"I wasn't married back then and I had a massive ego, Fenech said.
"I thought I was invincible and that I could do anything I liked.
"I slept with four or five girls every day. I done everything wrong. I just thought I was going to win.
"In the end I paid a heavy price."
Excuse my Australian, but holy F*$(#. One would need a secretary just to organize that many appointments in one day. I mean, if Wilt Chamberlain could stand up in his grave right now he'd be applauding proudly.
Who knew this was a viable excuse. If you see my blog productivity go by the wayside in the coming weeks, now you'll know why.
