Brandon Inge was very upset this offseason about the acquisition of Miguel Cabrera. For the life of him, he couldn't figure out why the Tigers would want one of the game's very best starting at third base instead of a .236 hack.
Inge was quoted as saying:
"I'm not happy with it. I'm not happy at all," Inge admitted. "But my hands are tied. There's not much else I can do. And at the same time, I'm not going to be a cancer. I want to play baseball. I love playing the game of baseball."Well, hopefully he's pleased with his playing time this afternoon.
Tuning into a little Extra Innings baseball this afternoon, I was a little startled to see the lineup Jim Leyland decided to go with.
Brandon Inge starting in CF AND at 3B. Aggressive.
