Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has set fire in England once again by hinting his return to Chelsea. The former Stamford Bridge boss dropped one of the biggest hints about his return to Chelsea after Real Madrid were knocked out of the Champions League by Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile in England it appears as if Chelsea has started to prepare for Jose Mourinho’s return to the club. The players and the management has already endorsed Jose Mourinho’s return to the club, which means it’s only a matter of time before the Portuguese arrives in London.
Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic claims the club desperately wants the Jose Mourinho to rejoin their ranks. With the rising expectation of Jose Mourinho’s impending exit from Real Madrid, most analysts view Chelsea as the Portuguese’s next destination.
In an interview to Serbian newspaper Vecernje Novosti, Branislav Ivanovic claims “Chelsea hopes Mourinho returns” soon. Translated version of the Russian’s interview has become a hot topic in the English media during the past couple of hours.
“Everyone at Chelsea hopes Mourinho returns,” Branislav Ivanovic said. “The players have had no confirmation that he is returning, but we all want it to happen because he is one of the best coaches in the world.
“He is immensely respected by everyone and he has done well at the club in the past. With him we can be stronger as a club, it would be another dimension of Chelsea and is sure to become one of the main competitors for the title.”
In his interview Branislav Ivanovic also talked about being bitten by Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in the game at Anfield last month. The 29-year-old defender confirmed he accepted Luis Suarez’s apology, while confessing he was “surprised and angry at the time”.
“I was surprised and angry at the time, but after the game my passions were calm and was all forgotten. I accepted his apology,” Branislav Ivanovic said. “I didn't attack him for what he done but I also didn't defend him.
“It was a really strange situation. Overnight I was everywhere because of what happened even though I was only a minor character. For the first time in the news everything was about Ivanovic.”
