well folks, whatever team you follow... deep inside you all love Brett Favre. When teams like the bears have started 21 different QB's since Favre first came to Brown County, WI, "old man Favre" seems to be like a fine wine and juts keeps on winning, and GRINNING EAR TO EAR. Surrounded by emerging stars like Greg jennings, Donald lee, and Ryan Grant... there is almost a "Cinderella Man Brett" script being acted out here. With only the exception of Elway...it is so rare to see a legend plowing through the twilight of his career this way. The shovel pass? heck, could anybody else make that play? To those who love to take shots at Brett on this site ( and look foolish doing so) enjoy what you are seeing, cuz deep inside we will all miss him when he is gone. And that is the true magic of this man. WE really feel like we know him. WE prayed for him when he admitted addicition and went through re-hab. WE prayed for him when his wife battled breast cancer. We cried with him when he lost his father. So few qb's in NFL history had so much of their private lives played out for the public to share. Whereas pathetic souls like Brittney Spears craves the attention so bad, Brett never has, yet he has handled it with a humbling humanity that just makes you want to pull for the guy. Like James J Braddock in Cinderella Man, fans feel like Brett is playing for us! We've all felt at times in our life that things were rough...all known close people suffering from addiction, friends battling cancer, the loss of a brother in law, or... the death of a special parent. Yet he goes on, game after game... and somehow it motivates us to go on as well. And that is why Brett, left for the "over the hill scrap heap" by many, 2 years ago... Packers 8-20 after 28 games of coach mccarthey's reign... will now play for a chance to win the big one. And despite the Cowboy fans claiming to be "America's Team".... they cannot even deny with any credibility... that Favre is "America's QB"
