Brett Favre is having a bit of trouble adjusting to the Jets' playbook. Apparently, this wasn't something that he factored in when he decided to come out of retirement. Not every team runs the "Go deep and Brett will chuck it up to you" play, or the "When in doubt, shovel pass".Eric Mangini, confirmed snitch and motivational genius, came up with a great idea. Brett loves crosswords, so let's make some crosswords about the playbook, and let Brett learn through those. That way, it's like he can practice without even tiring out his 38-year old arm.
It's a good thing that Brett now has some cool puzzles to occupy his mind, because I'm not sure that he knows what he's getting himself into.
"I didn't know they were 4-12 last year."
Uh-oh, Brett... did you not realize you were going to a team that wasn't exactly a "contender" last year? Well... just to clear everything up, the Patriots are in your division now, too. So good luck with that. They missed their chance to play you last year because you choked against the Giants, but they'll get you twice this year, and remind you why you should have stayed retired in Mississippi.
Good luck with the playbook, Brett. And welcome to the real world of NFL quarterbacks, where it's actually work, and not just playground rules. Enjoy.
