Brett Favre Will Seek Reinstatement This Week, Open To Being Traded
Favre May Finally Shut Up This Week
The Brett Favre circus appears that it will finally end this week as Favre will reportedly seek reinstatement this week.

According to Chris Mortensen - who's only right about 42% of the time - Favre has signed his letter seeking reinstatement to the Green Bay Packers but may not send it to the NFL until Monday or Tuesday.

Apparently this is at the request of Packers GM Ted Thompson, or so Favre says.
"I asked Ted [Saturday], 'Am I welcome in the building if I report?' and Ted was just about shattered," said Favre in a telephone interview. "He said, 'Brett, you can't do that -- you'll get me fired.' I told him I'm not trying to get anybody fired. So Ted asked me to let the guys report and let's try to resolve this over the next two or three days."
Well, I don't want to say too much because this is only Favre's take on the situation. Something tells me Thompson might have a slightly different opinion on how things went down.

And don't worry, Favre was of course totally cool about the Aaron Rodgers situation as well. Oh wait, no he wasn't.
"I said, 'Let me compete, you'll know I'll win this job' and Ted said again, 'Brett, things have changed. Aaron Rodgers is our quarterback.' It's pretty clear -- and this is what I told the commissioner -- that they want me to go away, stay retired. They would much rather see me in a Packers' uniform, paying me $12 million to be a backup -- which you know they really don't want -- rather than see in another uniform, no matter what they say. They'll drag this out, asking a king's ransom [in a trade], hoping it all goes away."
God I hate Favre so much now. Remember how there was all this talk about how he didn't want to mess things up for Aaron Rodgers? Peter King remembers, because he wrote that. Yeah, total BS. Not only has Favre made Rodgers' offseason a living hell, he's throwing him under the bus now as well saying he wouldn't win a QB competition. Classy Brett, real classy. But at least you did this with a carefree, gunslinging attitude you total classless jackass.

Luckily, it appears Favre is also now open to being traded to a number of places, not just the Jets or Bucs. And it looks like if a trade is ever going to happen, it'll be this week. Favre is still pushing to be released, but even he can't be stupid enough to believe the Packers would ever do that. Although who knows, he's been pretty stupid for a while now in terms of how he's handled himself.

Frankly, I'm hoping he goes to the Jets. I'd be fun to see him get absoultely pummeled all year on a team that has no chance of reaching the playoffs. It'd be karmic payback on a grand scale.

Everyone knew this was ultimately going to happen anyway.  Brett held all the power, it was just whether or not he wanted to use it, and now he has.  I'm guessing some team thinks they are a QB away from a title and throws a 1st our way.

I dont know if any team will surrender a 1st for a 38 y/o QB. But Gb would foolish not to ask. I think they could get a 2 and a conditional 4th for him. But really who is gonna get him? Not anybody in the NFC North. That narrows it down. Plus team that could use him like Baltimore dont want him. I think there are only 2 viable places for him to go, Tampa and NYJ. I am rooting for the Jets. It would awesome the amount of picks he would throw. But the downside is the four letter would promote the crap out of Brady/Favre matchup just before the Pats totally kill the Jets

You know, as much you hate all of this you sure are the first person to post every single article you can find on Brett.

Are you kidding?  OF COURSE HE WOULD WIN -- we're talking about Aaron Rodgers, you cannot POSSIBLY believe he's a better player than Brett Favre.  Even YOU can't be that blind.
He won't go to the Jets... OR Tampa -- sorry to crush your hopes and dreams....
Maybe if you stop posting all the articles, you'll stop hearing about it....

And lastly, "Well, I don't want to say too much because this is only Favre's take on the situation. Something tells me Thompson might have a slightly different opinion on how things went down." -- who cares what you think about what Thompson would say?  Thompson is a lying jackass -- and evidence to support that has been clear.

Give me a break and spend your time posting something else if this all bothers you soooo much.

The jets aren't going to want him. i don't know if anyone knows this but the jets spent they're time beefing up their run game. Thomas Jones who is going to have a HELL of a season, just got a nice FB, and some run blocking specialists. they're not gonna want favre. and CHICA is right it is kinda stupid to post that you hate him but then "ride his coat tails to FAN IQ Fame" lol. Good following the story though its pretty much the only thing going on in football (that and which team can rack up the most DUIS) but i don't think i should have to see something about Favre EVERYDAY I Log IN! My input Green Bay SH!t on him and now doesn't want to LOSE to him. I now officially hate GB management and with Favre gone i probably wont pay attention to Green Bay to much. (other than the fact i have a signed Aaron Rodgers rookie card and if he blows up like Brady ill be in the money). Bottom line Favre was GREAT, GB loved him. Now he's retiring and NOBODY loves him. Let his stunts go away and please stop refreshing our minds on it.
