Brewers Start With Back-to-Back-to-Back HRs, Mets Start with Pedro Back
READ MORE:
MLB
Sunday's/Weekend MLB roundup ...

Brewers 10, Reds 5 Milwaukee is back into the NL Central lead after a solid 1st inning in Cincinnati. Solid as in, Rickie Weeks, J.J. Hardy and Ryan Braun opened with consecutive home runs.

Mets 4, Astros 1 Pedro Martinez pitched another 5 innings in his second start, first back and he likes where he's at. I think the Mets should remain very conservative with Pedro until the playoffs. Just keep giving him 5 innings, maybe even an extra day of rest here and there. 5 innings from Pedro in the postseason could be the difference between golfing and a World Series.

Yankees 6, Royals 3 So, A-Rod had a good week. Just 7 HRs (52 total), at least one in 5 straight games, along with 5 straight wins for the pinstripes. It's now safe to lock up a postseason berth for New York. 4 game lead over Detroit in the Wild Card.

Lastly, Completely Useless By September. Thus far they're 4-5 and have given back the NL Central lead to Milwaukee. Ugh.

Aww...It's the time of the year where I feel bad for Cubby fans. I'm sorry Jason, they can still win it.

As far as the Brewers going back-to-back-to-back HR to start the game...I was just surprised Prince didn't continue it..

The trained Cubs fan waits until September to decide if there's postseason hope. Losing 2 out of 3 in Pittsburgh was predictable. I think it's time for Lou to throw another fit. Worked  well last time when the team was asleep, and it would appear they are again.

Plus I haven't seen the guy in a few weeks...so he's always in need of his cameo appearance on SC too.
