The Indianapolis Motor speedway along with the American Legion and Veterans of Forign Wars paid a special tribute to the veterans of Operation Desert Storm this year.  It was to mark the 20th anniversary of ODS.

There was a special reunion / meet and greet for us veterans at the Legion in Carmal the night before the race.  I was able to meet up with one other soldier from my old Patriot Battalion. Needless to say it was a very emotion and exciting night for us all.  Thank you to the Legion and the VFW for sponsoring us that night.  You guys and gals went the extra mile for us and made us feel welcome and honored.

Miller High Life sponsored some 80 Desert Storm Veterans to ride around the track with the drivers. About 150 of us also held large banners out on the track during the opening ceremonies.

John and Scott from Illustrate my life . com are the two guys who put the Desert Storm reunion / Brickyard deal together. They did it with no funding and through much confusion between them, the Mayor's office and the Indianapolis Speedway. They did a great job and deserve a special thank you! THANK YOU !!

I know you can't see it, but the top banner reads Freedom.  I was at the top right corner of that banner.  We had an awesome time at the track.  They really went out of their way and provided us all free tickets, parking and a tee shirt. Basicly they gave us the run of the speedway.  It was pretty special.
