Blog Photo - Broncos coach John Fox hospitalizedThe reality of the situation appears better than original reports stated, but news of John Fox being hospitalized is not good news regardless. According to the team, the Broncos head coach felt light-headed while playing golf today in Charlotte and was subsequently hospitalized. This is Denver's bye week. Initially, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Fox had a heart attack, but newer reports seem to indicate that it may not be that serious. Tests continue to be performed to determine what exactly happened.

At this point, speculating as to what happened and whether Fox will coach Denver next game at San Diego is moot.

UPDATE: Fox will undergo an aortic heart valve replacement later this week. It will keep him away from the team for the next few weeks. While it could have been much worse, speaking from personal experience, heart valve surgery is no joke. Here's hoping everything goes as planned for Fox.
