Brooklyn Nets Re-sign Kris Humphries
The Nets have re-signed Kris Humphries to a 2-year deal worth $24 million. The Nets will now have $30 million committed to Humphries and Lopez for next year alone.
While, Humphries may have been slightly overpaid, the Nets are not concerned about the luxury tax at all. Furthermore, he complements Lopez’s rebounding inability. Last year, Humphries averaged 13.8 ppg and 11 rpg in 35 minutes. In all likelihood, his scoring will come down this coming year, but look for his rebounding numbers to stay the same.
With the re-signing of Humphries, the Brooklyn Nets boast one of the best starting five’s in the Eastern Conference. Look for them to be one of the most dramatically improved teams this coming year.
