Mandatory Credit: Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY SportsThe Arizona Cardinals have hired their new coach, and it's the guy who arguably was the best head coach in the NFL last year.

Bruce Arians, who was the interim head coach for the Indianapolis Colts while Chuck Pagano battled cancer, is heading to Arizona as the Cardinals' new head coach.

The Colts went 9-3 under Arians, and made the playoffs only one year after finishing with the worst record in the NFL.

Arians has a history of making something out of nothing, and engineering solid offenses with troublesome quarterbacks. Most notably, he managed to pass the Steelers off as a serviceable offense, despite the fact that Ben Roethlisberger was their QB.

Congrats to the Cardinals, who have pulled off, in my opinion, the best coaching hire of the year.

Arians should be able to do a great job in Arizona, and hopefully he can manage to find a QB to match up with superstar WR Larry Fitzgerald.

I believe Arians will turn the Cardinals around, and Cardinals fans should be thrilled at this hire.

This is the 2nd time he's replaced Whizzing C**t, first was as the OC in Pittsburgh.

Arians may need some of the magic he had going in Indy this past year with Luck since quarterback isn't exactly Cardinals strength.

Hearing a lot from the Stanford folks that Luck may be reunited with his old college offensive coordinator, Pep Hamilton in Indy. Pep is great, and will do a fantastic job -- however it is a big change from Arians' aerial assault to Hamilton's west coast approach.
