Bryce Brown took over the starting running back role on Monday Night Football against Carolina and showed exactly why the Eagles drafted him in the first place. He doesn't waste many steps as he knows how to hit the holes created by his offensive line and utilize his downhill speed to outrun the chasing defenders. Not that he wasn't proving that he could run between the tackles to begin the game, but once he broke loose for a 65 yard touchdown down the right sideline, people bagan to pay attention.
Most shy away from Eagles players this season in their Fantasy leagues, however, Brown is one to nab if he is still available. If you managed to scoop him prior to last week, you were handsomely rewarded (if you decided to start him). His only issue is ball security, and that will come with increasing exposure to threats in practice.
Brown proved he can thrive on a big stage against a mediocre defense. Next week he faces another inconsistent defense in the Cowboys, but don't expect the same production. He will almost certainly continue to grind it out and could perhaps break free for a big touchdown, but temper expectations because he is still a rookie.
However, because this is probably his final week starting and/or taking the majority of the snaps from McCoy, he may decide this is his last chance to secure more playing time moving forward. Either way, Brown is a must start in every league this week.
