They’re the caviar of the Yankee franchise; elegant, and an appetizer to the main course of a renewed winning tradition. The only way they can lose is if they divide from within. One of the closest-knit teams since those of the late 90s, New York blasted through the second half of the season without even a thought of looking back. They’re finally piecing together their talents to form an offensive masterpiece that not even Michelangelo can replicate. Sure they crank home runs like they’re lay-ups, but small-ball is the focus the Yankees resurrected this season. All this showed in the division series against the Twins.
